October’s focus is Depression and the Blues – Knowing the Difference. Emotions and feelings naturally ebb and flow, shifting with the events and circumstances of daily life, but when a low mood lingers for an extended period, it’s only natural to question whether you’re experiencing a temporary case of the blues or the deeper, more persistent weight of depression. TELUS Health is here to help with online resources, self-directed programs, or connection to a mental health professional.

CareNow: Depression Program
Did you know? TELUS Health One provides access to CareNow programs that are a range of programs designed to help with anxiety, depression, stress, and more. These clinical programs give you the flexibility you need to choose your own path when it comes to care – from participating in exercises and taking assessments, to listening to podcasts and watching videos – all focused on positive change.
One of the CareNow programs is focused on Depression. This program is designed for people who are experiencing low mood. Through a series of short exercises, you will develop positive coping skills to improve your mod and overall wellbeing. Components include understanding depressive symptoms, a mood log, daily habits, and a focus on positive changes.
CareNow Programs can be accessed by logging in to the TELUS Health One website or app. There is no additional cost to access this service. Due to the clinical nature of the programs, a personal profile is required to access the programs.
