Implementation Day 2024

February 16, 2024, will mark the first time that we have been able to gather for an in-person school district-wide Implementation day since 2019. It is a wonderful opportunity to gather as a large group to reflect on our collective role in supporting students and each other in our learning community.

We now have over 900 full-time, part-time, and casual employees in the district with many new folks in various roles. Given the increase in the number of folks in the district, we are planning to use two venues for the day, Don Ross Middle School and Howe Sound Secondary School. 

The focus of the day will be to explore intersectionality and our collective work in building a more inclusive system for all where diversity is celebrated as a strength.

We will have the opportunity to hear from four keynote speakers with diverse stories and topics, as well as an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues during the two break times.

Optional attendees must confirm their interest in attending and select their location by Wednesday, February 7th.

 

All SD48 staff members who attend will be compensated for the day.
