Instructional Leadership Team

Our district's Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) works to support educators through co-planning, co-teaching, and co-assessing. Through the lens of our Education Plan, Pathways to Learning, our team helps educators create safe, purposeful, and powerful learning environments in order that all children can think critically, create, collaborate, contribute, and learn.

If you are interested in receiving customized support, please contact a member of the Instructional Leadership Team and/or your principal.

Changing Possibilities for Young Children

cp4ycChanging Possibilities is a professional inquiry that brings together educators to learn in collaboration. Participants select a wonder child to focus on for the year. They identify the child’s gifts and explore ways in which to personalize social-emotional learning to strengthen relationships, learning, and growth.

Changing Possibilities is co-facilitated by Dixie Cameron and Heather Androsoff, in partnership with Sunshine Coast and West Vancouver School Districts. We invite educators to participate with us in this rich professional learning opportunity. Release time and mileage are provided.

District Inquiry Program

An invitation for the District Inquiry Program is shared annually in late fall. Through curiosity, monitoring and analysis of data, reflection, and action planning, we work to improve social-emotional and academic outcomes for all children.

Educators are invited to engage in inquiry through one of two lenses:

  • inquiry around the central question, what is happening for our learners?
  • inquiry for personal areas of interest related to students and school context

Inquiry groups receive release time to work on their inquiry and are provided with some funds for related resources and materials.
